Oregon Trip

As we traveled to Oregon to celebrate the graduation of my niece and nephew we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful state of Oregon. Okay total different adventure when you have lived in the desert for the past 7 years. It is so green and full of beauty. We were fortunate because it did not rain the entire time we were there. Some site seeing we did was Multinoma Falls, zoo, and the coast. It was all amazing however the coast was outstanding. We were told it would be cold and raining and to bring extra clothes. What we arrived to was sunny, clear, and no wind. The girls got to see star fish and many other sea creatures that you do not get to see here in Wyoming. For all you "Twilight" fans....the falls and the coast are some of the sites that were filmed in the movie.

I have put a few pictures here but many more on facebook. If you are unable to view the many photos there let me know and I will send them via walgreens.

A funny vacation stories.....

We lost Ted (OPA), Liz, and Xenia somewhere in Portland OR only to find them one hour later (mom was a nervous wreck). They finally arrived at the restaurant with laughter and not a care in the world. Xenia says Opa is the best and they should get lost more often.
Sad story....
Mom left the camera in the hotel when we went to the ocean. More pictures will be shared when Deb and Den return from their road trip as they had the camera and took great pics.

At the zoo (hey were is the excitement this was fun!)
Yes we even saw the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile while we were at the zoo.
More pics of the beach to come later.

Congratulations Neal and Rachel

Both my niece and nephew graduated from colleges this month. Neal has become a fine welder and Rachel received a 4 year degree in bible study. We support them with love and prayers as they adventure into an adult world with their new found education.

Happy Birthday

Xenia and Theresa celebrate their birthdays....thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes and gifts.

Happy Mothers Day

To all the special moms in the world have a

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!

We love you all....this is to all the mothers and mothers-to-be (Bree and Stacy)

Love the Anthony's

We got Forked

Well as bad as it may sound it really was rather funny. My lovely Niece Rachel taught my children about "forking" someones yard. This is a more pleasant way to "TP" someones house. With that being said a few weeks ago Liz and Xenia set out to "fork" our neighbors yard. We did not have any forks at the time so they "spooned" the yard. Which leads to last nights event.....

At around 9pm the doorbell rings and we walked out to find no one at the door but we found our yard had been "forked". We laughed forever....now the revenge is on!!!! What will forking a yard lead to next???????

Spring has Arrived

The Anthony's know when Spring has officially arrived....

Mom gets depressed because it is not warm enough to go outside but yet to sunny and beautiful to be inside.

Dad is bugging mom about what outside chores need to be done...and what vacations we want to take.

Liz is moody because it is the end of the year and she is so on burnout!

Mikaela has every recital, competition, and who knows what else on the schedule for the next month.

So with that said.....our weekend pleasantly consisted of a piano recital (Mikaela), community service garage sale for Liz, soccer games for Xenia and a wonderful Sunday evening at the park with the entire family walking, playing a little tennis, and kicking the soccer ball around for awhile.

The upcoming week consists of: band recital (Liz), track day (Mikaela), last week of soccer (Xenia), and mom sleeping on Saturday for 24 hours to catch up:)

Hope this week finds you all well.

Mikaela goes Orange

Not to much happening this weekend. It is becoming my busy time of year agan. All things are rapping up for summer to begin. However, I wish the weather would realize that again as we woke up to another 3 inches of snow this morning.

Liz was at the church all weekend to community service hours for her summer missions trip....so we did not see much of her.

Mikaela had her Tae Kwon Do testing on Saturday and we are now the proud parents of an Orange Belt. She was a nervous wreck, but came through with flying colors. My understanding is now she gets to start breaking boards with her head?????

Mom spent the day scrapbooking (all day) and dad is working around the house.

Next week consists of 3rd and 4th grade school music program...and soccer games for Xenia.

Hope this weeks finds you all well!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Another birthday has come and gone....Mikaela now officially 9 (thinking she is 16) had a wonderful day yesterday.

We went to The Peak (rock climbing)for two hours with her friends. Then we arrived at home for some pizza and playtime. She had 3 young ladies stay the evening. (no mom nor dad got any sleep). Liz and Xenia were great at entertaining.

Bright and early this morning they were up and raring to go. Mom could not hear anything at 8am so she went forward in search of these 9 year olds. I found them out on the trampoline screaming at the top of their lungs to allow all the neighbors to be informed that they were up for the day.

Pancakes for breakfast then off to home they went....it was a great experience. Amen it only has to happen once a year:)

Happy Easter

What a relaxing weekend. We went to Denver and sat on our you know what's all weekend! Something I think we all needed. We did manage to color Easter eggs as usual. Church and a huge Dinner (thanks to Aunt Debbie) on Sunday and then the drive back to Wyoming. We also stopped for a quick visit with my nieces (Danielle and chelsea) They are all doing well. Brett looks great and is continuing to stay on the straight and narrow.

Quick updates: We head to Oregon in May for Rachel's graduation and will be celebrating Neal's at that same time. Keep checking the posts as this is our busiest (sp) time of year. The school year is coming to an end and with three kiddos this year life gets crazy. Xenia is busy with Soccer, Mikaela is celebrating her 9th birthday this weekend, and Liz is waiting to hear if they are changing the dates to the play she is in (this is not good, they want to change it to the weekend we are to be in Oregon, meaning she may get cut).

That's all folks!

Exam

Quick update....I took my Certificate state exam on Good Friday. I am unable to tell anyone how I felt am feeling about this test at this time cause I just truly do not know my feelings. The true feeling I have is scared of failing. It was difficult but yet easy at the same time. I will say it was really difficult if I failed and if I passed I will say it was still difficult but doable (is that even a word??)

I will blog at the end of the week when the results are in.

More Visitors from Germany

As we headed to Denver for the Easter weekend, Xenia got the exciting news that her Aunt, Uncle and counsins were coming to the states from Germany for a vacation. It was wonderful because they flew into Denver the same night we were arriving from Wyoming. They took the rest of the weekend to tour the Colorado area and are heading to Wyoming on Monday for the remainder of the week. While in Denver we met them in Idaho Springs to have the famous "Beau Jo's " Pizza. If you are updated with my blogs you will find this is where we take anyone new and touring the colorado area. Yet again it was a big hit! Then they were off to the Great Sand Dunes (not sure how nice the weather was for this). Any way here are some pics of the family.

Spring in Wyoming

The official day of spring has come and gone and it is typical Wyoming weather. Over the weekend we had 70 degrees on Sat. and 65 Degrees on Sunday. With that we went for a walk or roller blading (Mikaela) down by the river with the dogs. Then to wake of on Monday morning to a snow blizzard. Schools were shut down at noon and mom was sent home from work do to the roads. We are all home now wrapped in a blanket watching our all time favorite show Anne of Green Gables. Not sure if we will even have school tomorrow as it is still snowing.

Ken is Nevada this week on a golfing adventure. He was expected to return home late this evening....well this wont happen do to all roads coming into Casper in all directions are shut down.

All 3 girls brought home straight A's on report cards for 3rd quarter....you girls are the BEST!

First set of pictures are weekend by the river....second set is less then 24 hours later.

Little Tennis

As the warmer weather arrives the girls dragged me out to the park to play a little tennis. This was a few weekends ago. They had so much fun and totally clueless on how to play. At least they tried and got out of the house. In the meantime, I watched and coaches:) then walked the dogs in the park. Everyone is awaiting the spring!

Happy Birthday Liz

Liz turned 14 on Friday. (mom we did stay home with her:)... She got roses delivered to school from mom and dad and candy from a very good friend. We had family night with a friend on Friday and then had more friends and festivities on Saturday. What a weekend.

Saturday started with going and having a pedicure done with just the girls. Then it was off to Old Chicago for dinner. Ken taught them how to play pool and guzzle shirley temple drinks. Then it was off to the mall for a scavenger hunt. Where we had all kinds of fun and life lessons learned all in one evening. Then it was off to the house of a night full of movies. Still not sure what time they went to bed....I was asleep by 11pm:)

I can say that in the past 14 years Liz has accomplished so many wonderful things....as well turned into a beautiful young lady. I am not sure how Ken and I became so blessed but I only hope the next 14 years are as blissful as the first 14. God has done us good!!!

Cake: Liz was determined she was going to have a big bird birthday cake....so as always daddy does not let her little girl go without. He personaly hand created the cake below.

Cross Country Awards

Xenia finished cross country skiing and had award assembly this past week. She recieved a "letter". The coaches made a frame for her with the team picture, indian paintbrush weed, her letter, and a wyoming license plate in it. It was an awesome gift and she did great.
